COVID-19 Safety and Protocols
Our venue will continue to ensure we are meeting or exceeding the latest guidelines from local government and public health officials as regulations continue to evolve. Please be sure to check the specific event page for the latest entry requirement details ahead of arriving to the venue for your show. Ticket purchasers will also receive direct emails with important information leading up to the show. Please note that requirements and venue protocols (such as masking, testing and vaccination) are subject to change, so be sure to check back closer to your event date for the latest information.
Clear Bag Policy To Reduce staff contact with guest belongings, the following bags are allowed.
• Clear Plastic, Vinyl, or PVC Bags (Maximum Size: 12”x6”x12”)
• Small Clutch Bags Approximately the size of a hand (Maximum Size: 4.5”x6.5”)
Ticket Scalpers / Brokers
Scalpers and ticket brokers are not recognized ticketing agents of the venue. To avoid problems with counterfeit, stolen or voided tickets, guests should make their purchase through authorized outlets only.

SOMA has a no refund policy.
Parking
Parking is free. Parking on the streets or blocking driveways in the neighborhoods surrounding the area is strictly prohibited. Vehicles will be towed at owners expense. No loitering. No tailgaiting. Please proceed directly to the line.
Re-Entry
SOMA has a “No Re-Entry” policy for all events
Recording Devices
Guests may not bring audio or video recording devices into SOMA. These devices include, but are not limited to, video cameras/camcorders and audio recording devices.
Door & Show Time & Set Lists
Door and show times will be listed online or on your tickets. We do our best to post on our social media when permitted by the tours. Follow us on our social media and don’t miss out!
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in SOMA, except in designated outside areas. This includes vapes and electronic cigarettes.
Sold Out?
SOLD OUT SHOWS are sold out. We do not release tickets after shows are sold out. Purchase tickets in advance – join our mailing list (bottom of the page) to get on sale dates and show release information.
What is not permitted?
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOT PERMITTED:
- Aerosol Cans
- Animals/Pets (except service animals)
- Audio/Video Recording Equipment
- Balloons, Beach Balls or Related Items
- Cans, Bottles, or Glass Containers.
- Chains, Studded Bracelets, etc.
- Coolers or Ice Chests
- Illegal Drugs
- Large Bags and Purses
- Laser Pens and Pointers
- Noisemaking Devices (i.e. whistles, air horns)
- Outside Food or Beverage, etc.
- Moshing and crowd surfing.
- Professional Photography Equipment (Detachable lenses or lenses longer than 2 inches) Tripods, Monopods and Selfie Sticks
- Poles/Sticks to Display Flags, Banners, etc.
- Skateboards, Rollerblades, Bikes, etc.
- Unapproved pamphlets, flyers, handbills, etc.
- Weapons of any kind (i.e. pepper spray, tear gas, handcuffs, stun guns, etc.)
- Umbrellas
- Children under the age of 8 without headphones or noise reduction ear plugs
Any other item deemed inappropriate or dangerous by the venue is in its sole discretion. This list is subject to change at any time by management. Thank you for your cooperation
Intoxicated Guests
SOMA reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest deemed intoxicated upon arrival. Any intoxicated guest causing a disturbance will be asked to leave the facility.
Media Access
Media credentials can be requested by contacting info@somasandiego.com. You must be an accredited member of the media on assignment to be considered.
Weapons Prohibited
Guests, including law enforcement personnel not present in an official capacity, are prohibited from bringing weapons into SOMA. Weapons include, but are not limited to, the following: firearms, explosives, stun guns, handcuffs, brass knuckles, sticks, clubs, batons, martial arts instruments, pepper spray, tear gas, knives, etc. Guests found in possession of such items will be asked to remove the item from SOMA or dispose of it. Guests who refuse to comply will be ejected and may be subject to arrest.
Wheelchairs
SOMA has a limited number of special space for persons with mobility issues. Please check in at our box office for assistance or ask a SOMA team member in advance of your arrival: info@somasandiego.com.
Personal Injury Disclaimer
Upon entry to SOMA San Diego you are assuming all risk of injury resulting from, or in connection to actions taken place within the venue. No employee or affiliated promoter, company or sponsor will be responsible for personal damage or injury within the venue at any time.
Moshing@SOMA?
Moshing at SOMA is prohibited. Crowd surfing is prohibited. Violence of any kind is prohibited. You will be ejected from the venue. NO REFUNDS.

San Diego Local Bands
You must meet the following: Any age, ability to play 20 min of an original set, must have at least 3 songs (quality not important! – just want to hear your epic potential). In order to request a show at SOMA contact us with your digital press kit at somasdbooking@gmail.com
Make sure to include the following in the email: Band Name, Phone Contact, and Facebook page, Instagram, and when you are available.
How do I open for a national touring act?
Once you have shown the ability to bring 80-100 fans to your show in the side stage (Occupancy 500) you are eligible for the opportunity to open for a nationally touring artist. SOMA continues to maintain its focus on creating opportunities for local bands to get noticed. San Diego bands will get priority booking.
Bands Playing at SOMA
Flyers must be distributed in legal locations. No telephone poles, city or private property. You will be fined!
